Aerial photography is unique due to it’s limitations. Instead of staging a shoot or moving the subject, you use Google Maps to scout for interesting angles and instead of setting up lights, you’re solely reliant on the position of the sun.
After ten years of aerial photography, my favorite subject is still my hometown.
Ringwood NJ is less than an hour from NYC, yet thanks to it’s mountains, lake communities and the Wanaque Reservoir - it’s landscape feels more like a national park than a traditional suburb and thanks to legislation passed twenty years ago, the Highlands region will continue to be a natural oasis in the most densely populated state.
